Adaptation

Adaptation is a mid-term strategy that enables change in the face of challenging circumstances, allowing an organism or a society to modify its systems and behaviors to live more successfully in an altered environment. Adaptation suggests the need for additional research and training, different forms of protection for natural systems, integrated management, community involvement, coordinated policy, economic incentives, and political will.
